Textures add dimension to the walls so you can get a shadow reveal while it allows the under colors to peek through. A rustic adobe, Tuscan stucco, faux grasscloth, animal prints, fossilizing, raised stencils and embedding -are all examples of textures that work well in todays' homes. A simple raised stencil border create the feel of expensive molding without the cost or the mess. Add sayings, patterns images or hieroglyphs - anything is possible with a little texture and paint.

old plaster walls get new life with many layers of color washing, making the texture look great
imagine hints of leaves, shells, fossils or letters embedded right into the wall - this is a totally unique look with unlimeted possibilities
